Director Lori Hochberg BFA, MS Art Education
| Lori
earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University
– New York State College of Ceramics Fine Art
School and a Master of Science in Art Education from
Long Island University – C.W. Post campus. She
is a certified K-12 Art Teacher. Additionally, she has
continued her art education with post-graduate work
in NYC and on Long Island. |
Lori
has been teaching Fine Art classes on Long Island for
over twenty years, both in private and public school
settings. The Academy of Fine Arts (Roslyn), North Shore
Hebrew Academy (Great Neck), Town of Huntington Creative
Arts Program, Half Hollow Hills SD #5, Love of Learning
Montessori and West Hills Montessori are some of the
institutions where she has taught. In addition to teaching
in a school setting, Lori has instructed many private
students – children, teens and adults - in drawing,
painting and sculpture.
In 1995, Lori
founded The Village Artist Fine Art School in Huntington
Village. It is here that Lori has been able to inspire
students of all ages with her talent and unique approach
to teaching fine arts. Her students, from talented young
artists to those who have developed an interest as adults,
have all gained a new appreciation for the arts under
Lori’s guidance. |

Lori
is a member of the National Association of Fine Artists
(NAFA), the National Art Education Association (NAEA)
and the Huntington Arts Council.
In
addition to teaching, Lori is a professional artist
(painter). She sells her paintings, as well as commissioned
murals (both commercial and residential). Lori has
exhibited her artwork throughout Long Island and New
York State.
