Diana De Santis

Diana is a graduate
of the Parsons School of Design, also attended Traphagen
School of Design. In 1989, she began attending the Arts
Students League, where she was awarded a one-year scholarship
and studied with David Leffel and Harvey Dinnerstein. |

Diana’s
article “Keep It Simple” was published in”
American Artist” Magazine in the March 2006 issue.
She was the featured artist in an international pastel
exhibit in Verbania Italy, from July 28, 2005 through
August 15, 2005. She became the cover artist in the
June 2004 issue of “The Pastel Journal”,
her article appears inside. Her landscape paintings
were on exhibit at the Hermetage in St, Petersburg,
Russia, concluding a 2002 traveling exhibit in Normandy
France and five museums in northern Italy. One of Diana’s
portraits is in a five year Smith Kramer traveling exhibit
and being shown in 14 museums nationally. Diana’s
article “Find a Great Subject Anywhere”
was published in Pastel Artist International 2000. Her
article “Cast A Colorful Shadow” was published
in the Artists Magazine September 2000. Diana’s
painting “Ainat” was in the top ten in the
“American Artist” National competition,
October 1997 issue. Her article, “Create Stronger
Hands”, was published in the January 1997 issue
of “The Artist Magazine”. Three of her portraits
were included in the “Best of Pastel” 1998
and 1996 editions, and “Pastel Impressions”
1997 edition by Rockport Publishers. Her portrait of
Augusta Gulden the mustard heiress, hangs in the Gulden
Memorial Pavillion in Southside Hospital Bay Shore NY. |

lover of plein air painting, her landscapes are in many
private collections. Diana is affiliated with the Francesca
Anderson Fine Art Gallery, Portraits North, The Louisa
Melrose Gallery in Frenchtown, New Jersey and the Harborcrest
Gallery in Huntington, NY. |
Diana
is an official Coast Guard artist
